About TDARS

Telford and District Amateur Radio Society is a group of people who meet weekly at Little Wenlock all with a varied interest around radio.

It’s not just radio but related things like technology, satellites, morse code and loads more. Getting active and out is a big part of what TDARS does – we put on radio stations for events, like the balloon celebration in Telford.

There are around 70 members of the club, who meet weekly with lots of activities and visits through the year. We even go out locally into the nearby field to try out the kit anytime we have an excuse.

The club goes further afield for activities like contesting on the radio – here’s part of the station setup on Long Mynd Shropshire – we have a patch of land we can use each year when accessible, we take a lot of care of it, especially safety and avoidence of litter/polution.
