Report on GB17YOTA at Longdon on Tern December 29, 2017.

The club ran a YOTA station at Longden on Tern which provided an introduction to the hobby with a wide range of technological experiences.

Radio operations were mainly 20, 40 and 80m. Running 300W using IC7600 + PA into Doublet and Comet HF aerials
Other activities include: nanowave (light) transceivers (G4HJW design). Voice and Slow Scan TV across the hall. Make-a-Megaphone (cardboard for younger visitors).

Also  Field telephones. FT817 and whip with RPi control via tablet. Satellite reception and display of data/pictures. Meteorite monitor at VHF. RSGB table. ‘Freebie’ table.  Digital ATV project. Morse sending & Receiving to earn a certificate.
