Project Christmas Tree

A practical soldering evening
John M0XJA is making a huge effort to have more regular practical sessions at TDARS and sourced a timely small project to get members active
soldering and building their own projects.

On the evening of On 30th October members built a Christmas Tree shaped project which included soldering LEDs and soldering together two PCBs to create a self-standing novelty Christmas tree that flashes.

About 20 members took part, arranged around the meeting room in a square with other members moving around or sitting with builders to offer support and help. The meeting itself was video linked to Wolverhampton club some of whose members were also making up Christmas trees.

The projects cost about £2.50 each and made something nice to bother the family with over Christmas! There are more photos later in the centre pages. This was also featured in RADCOM in December 2024.
