| 2026 – for other radio rallies see here March we begin extra committee meetings to plan the hamfest April We put the Hamfest committee members, but monthly meetings onward involve all committee May We communicate with our Hamfest hosts, booking the site and agreeing on what we need and they can offer. June The small Hamfest commitee are contacting traders and services for the Hamfest and taking bookings The Hamfest and traders are promoted on TDARS Facebook page @telfordhams July-August Hamfest is finalised, this year a reserve list is being made as we have sold all the tables At club meetings TDARS club members offer and are organised by Marin 2E0TRO into work teams ready for the Hamfest weekend. Equipment is checked and sourced TDARS gear is identified for selling on the club stand Saturday before Hamfest Signs are put up at key locations north and south of the Harper Adams venue. Members meet up at the venue to put out tables ready for the Hamfest One the day Members are on-site hours before the start – helping traders setup and bring equipment in Members work with traders to fix, sort out any problems and run stands like Bring and Buy, Club stand and welcome visitors At the end Members help traders pack away Tidy up the venue to hand back to the hosts. Go have a post-Hamfest drink at the Lamb pub nearby. Take down the signeage from key locations. Review and plans for 2027 start all over. |
